When is the best time to come?

Our antlered animals are seasonal due to shed time. MOST exotics we hunt from September 1st to the end of May. If you are after whitetail or quail, we abide by the State of Texas hunting seasons. We are a Level III MLD holder, so you will not need to use your hunting tags. Be sure and make your reservations as soon as possible, as we are typically booking months and even years in advance. You can call Mark at 806-500-5878 or Joel at 806-787-9950, or you can e-mail Mark at mark@huntchampionranch.com or Joel at joel@huntchampionranch.com.

All tips are just that, a tip, and should only be left if you are completely satisfied with the service our staff performed for you. Industry standard for your guide is 10% of the cost of the hunt, but again this is totally up to you. The tip for the staff (kitchen, cooks, management, skinner, etc.) is normally an additional 5%. If you had an excellent experience, which we are certain you WILL, I would plan on a 15% total tip. If you have any suggestions, compliments or complaints, please do so at check out time, as we are always seeking suggestions for improvements to our operation!

What should I bring?

We have a halogen-lit skeet range and provide clay targets free of charge, so you can bring your shotgun for some great after hunt and midday fun! We also have a shooting range for rifles and pistols. The ponds are stocked with catfish and bass, so feel free to bring your fishing gear. Bring your normal hunting gear including boots, jacket, hunting weapon of choice, ammunition, binoculars, eye protection, ear protection, insect repellent and sunscreen. What to expect on my hunt?

Your hunt will completely depend on the type of game you are after. We utilize blinds, rangers, jeeps, topdrives, and anything else necessary to get that trophy on your wall! With that said, be prepared for an array of spot and stalk, glassing, blind sitting, and walking. We will tailor your hunt to your abilities. You will be escorted by a professional guide at all times who has intimate knowledge of the ranch, vast experience with tracking and judging all species, and most importantly the passion for helping you bag that trophy.

We offer rifle, crossbow, compound bow, muzzle loader, and hand gun hunts. All hunters will be required to shoot their weapons at our range before the hunt can begin. Please let us know at least two weeks in advance of your hunt if you are an archer or pistol hunter so we can have our bow blinds ready for you.

What should I wear?

We recommend camouflage. Please keep in mind the weather is always changing in West Texas!

How can I pay for my Invoice at check out time?

You will check out in the office at the end of your hunt. We accept cash, debit card, cashier’s check, company check, personal check, traveler’s check, American Express, Discover, Visa, and Master Card. Please note: There is a 3% processing fee on all credit and debit cards.
